Moving sites to a better hosting or simply migrating sites from dev to live is now more convenient with the help of several different plugins. Some hosting sites also include it within their service. It sounds simple and easy but quite tedious to do- especially when the URLs get mixed up in the process. One moment your images are there and the next is that all the image paths are jumbled and ultimately broken.
Those worries are no more! Elementor provides a tool to search and replace the URLs in your website.
Follow the steps below to get started:
1 .Go to Elementor > Tools > Replace URL Tab.
2. Enter your old-url and your new-url . Click Replace URL once both are set.
NOTE: Always triple check if the old URL and new URL are both correct, otherwise this might end up breaking the paths of all links in the site.
3. Under the General Tab > Regenerate CSS, click Regenerate Files.
NOTE: This step is to make sure the URLs are refreshed throughout the site. You may want to clear the cache of your site as well.
4. In Settings > General on your WordPress Dashboard, make sure that the URLs are similar.
There, easy peasy! 🙂 Just four easy steps to get your site URLs updated. What can you say about this feature? Comment down below!
